KatyBournemouth & District
Youngster Katy (around 10 months old) was found with her small kittens in a shed in someone’s garden so hasn’t had the best start in life. We think that she had been living outside fending for herself for some time as when she was first found she was very wary of humans and was difficult to approach.
Katy’s kittens have now all gone to their new homes and Katy is ready to go to hers. Katy has become much more friendly with her fosterer since her kittens left, although she remains a little wary so sometimes greets new visitors with a hiss. Once she knows you, Katy enjoys being stroked and purrs enthusiastically. She'll occasionally even roll onto her back and stretch out, showing that she is feeling much more relaxed now. When done with human company for a while, Katy likes to sit high up on her cat tree.
We would like to find Katy a home where she has the option of being inside in a house if she chooses to be as well as having outside space. It may be that Katy will prefer to live a largely outdoor life but as she is now used to being inside and has a good relationship with her fosterer we would like her to be able to have the choice.
